Finding the Invisible Man…
A cultural competency training for those that serve African American and other Black MSM (Men who have Sex with Men).
Facilitated by Jamal Bey, Project Manager, One Love African American HIV Prevention Capacity Building project. This informative and culturally relevant training will give participants an overview of some of the knowledge and tools that will help them provide more culturally appropriate HIV prevention interventions to African American (AA) & other Black MSM infected and affected by the spread of HIV/AIDS and STD’s.
The training was designed to increase the knowledge, skills and abilities of:
- HIV Prevention Staff
- HIV Prevention Supervisors & Administrators
- Technical Assistance Providers
- Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Providers
The training will cover the following topics:
- Barriers to HIV Prevention for AA MSM
- HIV Prevention Needs of AA MSM
- Theories That Can Help You
- Best Practices & Interventions for AA MSM’s
